Watermill

The Creative Process:
A collaboration with
East End Arts Council, Peter Marcelle and the Watermill Center.

This two-day event begins at the EEAC Gallery in Riverhead at 2:30 pm on Friday, April 25th when Peter Marcelle will speak on what is involved in the creative process for a visual artist. He will share anecdotes about witnessing “process” during times spent in Maine with painter Andrew Wyeth, and will also reference artwork in the current show at the EEAC Gallery entitled, The Creative Process.

Part two of this collaboration takes place at 2:30 pm on Saturday, April 26th at Watermill Center. Guests will watch the creative process of a staging rehearsal for a piece entitled Genoa 01 in US: a project conceived for non-theatrical spaces such as museums, foundations and national parks developed by Watermill Center Spring ‘08 Artists-in-Residence, Le Theatre du Troisieme Oeil, a French theater company working with French and American performers.
A wine and cheese reception will follow the rehearsal. Tours of the Watermill Center can be arranged after the reception for interested persons.

To reserve a space, call: 631-726-4628 or email elka.rifkin@robertwilson.com. We need your full name, phone number and email address, and the number of people who will accompany you.
